About the Artist
A
1981 graduate of Allentown High School, Allentown, NJ, Jude was
awarded a full scholarship to attend Mt. Holyoke College where
she earned her BA, majoring in studio art and art history. As
a Dana Fellowship recipient, she studied painting with Syracuse
University in Florence, Italy in 1986. After nearly an 18 year
‘hiatus’ from practicing art, she has returned to
pursue her passion for painting. Jude currently teaches fine art
in Brick Township, NJ where she was recognized by her school as
‘teacher of the year’ in 2004 and received the distinguished
NJ Governor’s award. Jude is a member of the National Association
of Women Artists in NYC and a board member for the Art Educators
of NJ.
Her oil paintings and collages are a reflection of who she is
as an artist, a mother and an
educator. Her greatest inspirations are children. She resides
at the Jersey shore with her
husband, daughter and son.
